ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Celia Crotteau can trace her direct descent from Swiss Amish Mennonites who settled in Pennsylvania in 1750. At 22, her grandfather rejected that pacifist faith and lifestyle for a 30-year Army career, a choice upon which Crotteau based her fictional series featuring star-crossed lovers Char and Uri Stoltzfus. Crotteau herself is a Navy veteran who has worked as a critical care nurse and a teacher of literature, ancient history, and expository writing. She has lived in the United States, Canada, Spain, India, Australia, and Japan and currently resides in San Antonio, Texas.
